Sabin ADU

Bringing a contemporary Northwest vernacular design to a Tudor-style framework was the challenge posed by this project.  The ADU features a flexible open-plan living arrangement which provides a host of spatial configurations ranging from open studio to true enclosed one bedroom, while a store-away ladder provides access to a flex space above.  Warm wood tones punctuate the interior and exterior, while the materiality and scale of the primary residence is integrated seamlessly.  Around the structure, the landscape is integrated and expressed in lush vegetation, textural concrete and cedar decks and screens.
